A native of Riverside California, Sergeant Major Camacho graduated from Norte Vista High school in June of 1996. On July 21, 1996, she attended Marine Corps Recruiting Training Depot, Parris Island South Carolina. Upon graduation from recruit training she attended Marine Corps Engineer School, Courthouse Bay, Camp Lejuene, North Carolina. She obtained the Military Occupational Status of Electrical Engineer Repair Specialist.
In September 1997 Sergeant Major Camacho served as Platoon Sergeant, Maintenance Chief, MIMMS Clerk, and Utilities Quality Control Non-Commissioned Officer, 2nd Maintenance Battalion, 2D Force Service Support Group, Camp Lejuene North Carolina. While assigned to 2nd Maintenance Battalion she was promoted to ranks Corporal and Sergeant.
Sergeant Major Camacho transferred to 1st Transportation Support Battalion, Maintenance Company in April 2000. During her tour, she held multiple billets to include; Company Training Non-Commissioned Officer, Platoon Sergeant, and Maintenance Chief. She was responsible for coordinating and hosting the first Non-Commissioned Officer Symposium for, 1st Force Service Support Group. Sergeant Major Camacho was also an active participant on the All-Marine Softball team. On December 2, 2002, she was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
In January 2003, Sergeant Major Camacho volunteered for Drill Instructor duty and graduated from Class 2-03. She was assigned to 4th Recruit Training Battalion, Papa Company, Parris Island, South Carolina. She held the billets of Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor and Chief Drill Instructor.
Sergeant Major Camacho transferred to Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 38; Marine Air Control Group 38, 3d Marine Air Wing, Miramar, California. During this tour she served as Utilities Chief, Motor Transport Chief, and Logistics Chief. She deployed twice to Al Asad, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sergeant Major Camacho was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant on October 1, 2007.
Sergeant Major Camacho was selected for Assistant Marine Officer Instructor at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee April 2009. In May 2009 she reported to Officer Candidate School (OCS) as a Sergeant Instructor for two platoons. Upon completion she returned to the Vanderbilt University to train, mentor and develop future Marine Corps and Naval officers. In 2010, Sergeant Major Camacho returned to OCS as a Sergeant Instructor to train an additional platoon. In 2011, she was selected for Sergeant Major, and reported Camp Geiger, North Carolina as the Chief Instructor for CORTRAMID East. On September 2011, Sergeant Major Camacho was promoted (frocked) to the rank First Sergeant in September 2011.
In October 2011, she transferred to Transportation Service Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 3, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii as the Company First Sergeant. She deployed with Marine Rotational Forces Darwin, as the Combat Logistics Detachment 331 attached to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Division.
In Nov 2014, Sergeant Major Camacho reported to Headquarters Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 15 in November 2014. In November 2015 she was selected for the rank of Sergeant Major.
In December 2015, she was promoted (frocked) to Sergeant Major and transferred to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 469 (HMLA-469) to be the Sergeant Major. She deployed with HMLA-469 on a Unit Deployment Program in Okinawa, Japan. While deployed she participated in Korean Marine Exchange Program.
In February 2011, Sergeant Major Camacho graduated from Park University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management.
Sergeant Major Camacho has been awarded the Navy Commendation Medal with four gold stars, the Navy Achievement Medal with one silver star and one gold star and the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
